What is the difference between coaching and counseling?
Counseling and coaching are both designed to help you with whatever struggles or conflicts you may need help to work through. Both practices are confidential relationships between practitioner and client. Counselors use an introspective approach to develop a behavioral, analytical or cognitive intervention strategy to help achieve their client’s goals. Coaches use a goal-focused, potential-seeking approach to help clients improve and reach their goals.

What is a M.A.P.?
M.A.P. stands for Member Assistance Program. Small businesses, social and civic organizations, and churches partner with Inside Out Counseling & Coaching to provide access to services at a reduced rate for their members.
Will counseling or coaching really help me?
Counseling and coaching have so much potential. Our goal is to help you reach yours. You have to want to help yourself and make the change you desire. Counselors and coaches walk alongside you to help guide you along the path of healing, restoration, and progress that you seek.
When should we start premarital counseling?
We recommend premarital counseling when you’re thinking about getting married; the ring is optional. One unfortunate thing that we see with a lot of couples is that they enter into marriage either unprepared or ill-advised. A covenant marriage is a serious commitment and we want every couple to enter into it with their eyes wide open.
Can you prescribe medication?
We do not prescribe prescription medication. If prescription medication is needed, we will refer you to a clinician who is able to prescribe to you.
If I start counseling or coaching services, will it fix my partner?
Our services focus on the client and helping them to heal and grow. Your changed behaviors may impact your partner, but it won’t “fix” them. We each have our flaws but we can only correct our own behaviors.
Who needs counseling services?
We think that everyone needs counseling in some form. We all have things that happen that we need a little help to address, adjust to, or deal with it. We want to remove the stigma of counseling. A counselor, or coach, is someone with a listening ear who has the educational and experiential background and training to help you to be the healthiest and happiest version of you!
What do the colors in your logo mean?
We intentionally selected these colors to express the purpose and intentions of our agency. Green represents harmony, safety, balance, and growth. Blue represents loyalty, trust, stability, and confidence. Red represents courage, energy, and strength. Orange represents action. These colors embody all that we will partner with you to build in your life and relationships. Emphasizing these principles are the first steps in transforming your life…from the inside out.
